How To: Mixing Metals

598 Mount Pleasant Suetables

When it comes to mixing metals in the world of jewelry, the options are endless.

The effortless blend of gold and silver can be a weary concept for some, however, mixing is in style for the summer months - and we absolutely love it!!!

In achieving the chic look, there are a few tips and tricks to help you find that perfect balance.

tip 1 : gathering the essentials

Start by gathering your favourite pieces of jewelry, whether it be a collection of charms, rings, a sentimental watch, or a classic statement piece. Even the act of grouping your jewelry together can stimulate ideas of what looks best together.

Mixing metals encompasses every possibility - including mix-matching of pendants on gold and silver chains !

tip 2 : focus on one area of the body

A transition like this challenging without a doubt! I won't lie, you are bound to become either hesitant or quite indecisive on which metals to include in your looks.

To make it easier, start by focusing on an area of the body where most of your jewelry is worn , that be your neckline, wrists, ears, or hands.

tip 3 : balancing the essentials

You've got everything together, but how will you wear it ?!

As I've mentioned, the act of grouping your jewelry can generate ideas towards your chic summer looks. Re-assembling your jewelry into several bundles you see fit makes this process sacred and personal to you.

Achieving a balance of your metals can be challenging. Questioning if you've got too much gold on, and vice versa.

But there are NO RULES !!!  Go bold or go simple. Be yourself and don't change a thing.
