Looking For Good Karma?

Looking For Good Karma?

Susan Henderson

Actress and Gemini Nominee Lauren Lee Smith was when she stopped by our studios. She and her set costume designer selected Suetables again to complete her character’s 2013 on-set look. The Listener is shooting now and premiering this summer on CTV.

Lauren arrived, wearing jeans, a rock-and-roll tee and blazer. Always fashion forward (Lauren wore arm candy long before it was in the press), she knew that this season she wanted to layer her necklaces. So, we showed her the Karma ring necklace we designed for her character who is a cop. After all, policer officers could use a bit of good Karma. She loved it.

Then, she wanted to layer it with a Tell Your Story necklace Lauren, who oozes style, warmth and beauty, selected eight charms to represent her life. A Tell Your Story necklace is totally unique for each person. Each charm is individually selected to arrange a perfect one-of-a-kind design. This process can take a ton of time. Not with Lauren Lee Smith. She was decisive, fun to work with, and she knew what she wanted.

She chose a long 30” chain with:

1) A mini Megan hand stamped with QUE SERA SERA
This translates to “whatever will be will be”. We often ‘swim against the current’ and resist change and what is happening in our lives. It is so much easier to let go and swim with the current and accept where life is leading us rather than fight it.

2) A silver shade Swarovski crystal
swarovski-crystals for a bit of sparkle.

3) A tree of life /
The Tree of Life symbolizes love and family.

4) A Shaenie key
It’s a great fashion piece. The word “key,” which comes from the Old English word meaning “serving to open or explain,” has always had metaphorical associations, as in a means to uncover ideas or emotions that are hidden or blocked.

5) A medium Kathryn love letter stamped with E for her husband

6) Jenn dog tag with B & W
This celebrates her beautiful black Labrador dogs

7) Billie dog bone too because it is too cute

8) A Sandy Angel’s wing.

Lauren didn’t say why. Some things are just meant to be personal. But knowing how well her career is going, I suspect there IS an angel watching over her;)
