A Suetables client, Anna, called because she was having a baby girl in a few days. She wanted a new Linton charm to celebrate her latest edition. We hear from a lot of new moms but I was particularly happy to hear from her. Anna has gone through so much loss and pain to have her children. In 8 years, Anna has had 8 pregnancies. She has three children.
I’ve never met Anna in person but I spoke to her a few years ago. She had just lost a child before delivery. She wanted charms to represent her family - including her losses.
When I told Anna about the new Libby dove and Cassidy angel’s wing charms, she was thrilled. Anna said, “I love angel’s wings and I want one to represent my losses - especially my second trimester loss. I also want a dove. The dove is very symbolic of Bazil, the other baby we lost. We grew to love doves after his death. They represent peace, love and spirits. We go to City Hall’s tree lighting every year where they put doves on the tree with your loved ones names. My kids love finding one with Bazil’s name on it.”
I love that Anna has taught her children to celebrate life. Anna tucked her son into bed the other night and he said, "I love you all the way to Bazil and around Bazil 100 times and back."
We all have losses that we carry in our hearts - quiet aches that we tuck away. It makes me happy that Anna has found a subtle and beautiful way to carry these little spirits close to her heart.
